ELECTRO HYDRAULIC dock levellers
For an efficient and simple way to level the difference in height between your vehicle and the floor when at your loading bay, you need a dock leveller. User-friendly, durable and low maintenance, our dock levellers can be manufactured to your exact requirements. We supply and install two types of levellers at Dock & Door Services Ltd:
- Swing lip dock levellers
- Telescopic lip dock levellers
Swing lip dock levellers are easy to use and commonly used in general warehousing where most standard sized vehicles operate. Telescopic lip dock levellers, however, enable precise and accurate positioning and extended reach over tail lifts, making them better suited to loading bays where a bigger reach and range is required and for more challenging loading scenarios, for example where pallets are located at the back of a vehicle. Dock levellers are designed in 3 alternative installation styles depending on your loading bay: traditional pit mounting, suspended versions and box style levellers. DOCK SHELTERS AND SEALS
Dock shelters provide a seal around the vehicle/trailer in the loading bay, protecting both goods and employees from the outdoor elements, and also serving to improve energy efficiency in temperature-controlled buildings. As with all our loading bay equipment and industrial doors, at Dock & Door Services Ltd we can supply and install a dock shelter specific to your building in terms of both size and use. There are three main types of dock shelter:
- Cushion dock shelter
- Curtain dock shelter
- Inflatable dock shelter
Cushion dock shelters are recommended for loading bays that are used by vehicles with minimal difference in size, while curtain dock shelters are more flexible and would be the preferred choice for a loading bay with a variety of uses - being able to accommodate vehicles of differing sizes.
Inflatable dock shelters are made to standard dimensions and provide a tight seal around any vehicle that enters, making them the most effective way of sealing the area between the vehicle and the warehouse. This means they are ideal for use in the food and hygiene industries.
